DESCRIPTION:
A.D. Mougin, Paris for Camerden & Forster of New York, mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven pendule de Paris movement in a Louis XV style case with tortoise shell veneer and rococo style brass ornament, white enamel dial with retailer's name, steel hands, two matching candelabra holding 3 candles each.
CONDITION:
Tortoise shell veneer is cracked in many places, with some losses on the candelabra. Enamel dial, hands, and convex beveled glass are very good. The gilding has worn from the cast pieces. There is some loss of black paint on the back of the case. The movement is signed.
